McKenna's Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Grosse Pointe South Varsity Victory Over University Of Detroit Jesuit

Grosse Pointe South Varsity seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple University of Detroit Jesuit. The game was tied at three with Grosse Pointe South Varsity batting in the bottom of the eighth when Brian McKennasingled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Grosse Pointe South Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning. Conor McKenna drove in one when he singled.

In the top of the seventh inning, University of Detroit Jesuit tied things up at three. Pullis singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Weston Brundage earned the victory on the mound for Grosse Pointe South Varsity. He allowed seven hits and three runs over eight innings, striking out eight and walking zero.

Bruno led things off on the pitcher's mound for University of Detroit Jesuit. He surrendered three runs on five hits over five innings, striking out one and walking one. Blum threw two and two-thirds innings in relief.

Grosse Pointe South Varsity tallied nine hits. Will Leonard and McKenna each collected multiple hits for Grosse Pointe South VarsityLeonard led Grosse Pointe South Varsity with three hits in three at bats. Grosse Pointe South Varsity was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Eden Frevik made the most plays with seven.

University of Detroit Jesuit scattered seven hits in the game. Laurd and Pullis all had multiple hits for University of Detroit Jesuit.
