Grosse Pointe South Varsity's Three Pitchers Combine In No-Hitter To Gain Victory Over East Detroit

Grosse Pointe South Varsity's three pitchers didn't allow a single hit, as Grosse Pointe South Varsity defeated East Detroit 18-0 on Monday. Jacob Kempa struck out Spalsbury to get the last out of the game.

Grosse Pointe South Varsity secured the victory thanks to ten runs in the first inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Devin SlaughterThomas MellosWill Leonard, and Weston Brundage, doubles by Drew Maccagnone and Mellos, a walk by Tanner Belanger, and a groundout by Alec Applegate.

Cody Shook took the win for Grosse Pointe South Varsity. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out three and walking zero. Thomas Hutchison and Kempa entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Hart led things off on the mound for East Detroit. He allowed 19 hits and 18 runs over three innings.
