Grosse Pointe South Varsity Field

Grosse Pointe South's Varsity Field has been the site of many classic baseball contests and has served the Grosse Pointe community over the years by hosting Varsity and Junior Varsity games and MHSAA District and Regional games. Varsity Field is also home to the Grosse Pointe Junior and Senior leagues (Ages 13 through 16) as well as several local Grosse Pointe Federation Teams.

      Renovation to Varsity Field began in 2002 to the press box and third base side bleachers. In 2003, Field Turf was installed in the infield and prior to the 2009 season, the outfield was re-sodded and a warning track installed.  A new home team dugout is expected to be completed in time for the start of the 2010 season.  Regular maintenance is performed by members of the Dugout Club and other volunteers.

      Seating capacity in the bleachers is approximately 250.
